18A- Create A Custom Avatar



My prototypical customer is a teenager who broke his forearm during football practice one day after school. His hobbies include being  part of the football team but also skateboarding when he has time off. He is a freshman in high school so he does not have a car yet and relies on his parents. His favorite TV show is sportscenter and is an avid sports follower. He doesn't have children and is far away from that. He is a smart kid who does pretty well in school but he is mad because the next couple weeks he will have to be in a cast and will not be able to practice with his team as he waits for his injury to heal. He still remains relatively active so he needs a modern cast that can be washed to prevent it from smelling badly.

What I have in common with the avatar is that that was me in high school. I was always the injured kid on the sports team and hated it. He is not very happy, as I was, and just wished that he could resist getting injured. Life happens though. I don't think it is a coincidence that I chose this avatar, because I was then and he is now the prototypical customer for the modern 3D printed cast.

I know that I wasn't the only kid in high school that went through what I did. It seemed on every sports team, their is always the kid who cannot stay healthy and always seems to be in a cast. Being a kid still, they still remain active so if they had a traditional cast, it would smell bad and they wouldn't like it. My cast would be way better because of the ability to wash fit and keep it clean.

    Hi Jack I like your avatar. It definitely looks like someone who is upset because they just broke something and have to get an old school cast instead of the new cast that you are making. It seems like there will definitely be a need for this since like you said kids will be active and accidents happen. Hopefully you can get this cast made soon and make it affordable to most kids like the avatar that you made up above.

28A- My Exit Strategy

My exit strategy is to sell my product to the distribution specialist after they realize how big of a market it could be and how it could be implemented after like 3 to 5 years of running it myself. Hopefully it would be by then that I would be able to sell it for over a million  dollars and with that money I would use to start up my real estate development business. I selected this exit strategy because I do not really want to make this my entire life. The typical entrepreneur makes their products their entire life and makes it their prime focus of their life. I want my life and my business to be about how to create a business with my family and successfully run it. I have spent the last three years of my life and am going to spend the next 2 years trying to learn all about business and all about the best practices. 6A- Identifying Opportunities in Economic and Regulatory Trends

1) In the New York Times, I saw a article on how Trump is walling off Huawei, the equivalence of the US's Verizon or AT&T. Headlining the business section of the New York Times was this article and it made me think about the opportunity for 5G coming soon. You will be able to download media onto your phone or device almost immediately. A movie would take 3 seconds to download rathe than the 15 minutes it takes in 4G. I believe that 5G will exist in the US because we will always be fighting to be most technologically advanced in the world. Since Trump banned Huawei, the US will have to make their own 5G and catch up with China. Every individual on the grid will benefit from 5G when it comes out. The process of getting 5G will be automatically updated in the software updates of phones. Samsung has already started to use the 5G icon for cell connection even though they don't in fact have 5G yet. Fake it until you make it, right? At least for them, but soon enough 5G will act
