16A- What's Your Secret Sauce?

- I already have years of sales experience in real estate conducting contracts and seeing the true nature of creating a deal and I haven't even graduated college yet. - I am an extremely hard worker, besides taking full time classes at UF, I also work 40-50 hours on top of that. - I have mastered online marketing campaigns, with 100 dollars I can create 500 plus leads to contact thru marketing on social media and realtor sites. - I have access to a lot of people which I can market an idea to if not to conduct real estate for. 15A- Figuring Out Buyer Behavior #2

The three individuals I talked to at the doctor's office were all shown a model of my invention. They all agreed that it looked cool and had it's pluses but the big question was whether the doctor would recommend this device onto a client. In my case, their would be two or three alternatives. There would be my cast, the traditional fiberglass cast, and then a non-permanent cast from Walmart or CVS or something. The interviewees all came to the same conclusion, the first thing that they would do is consult a doctor and nearly always go with the recommendation of him. If it was not serious enough, then they would just go with option 3, but if casting was needed they would go with the traditional cast. When asked if they would go with my cast as an alternative from the current cast structure they all claimed that they would highly consider it. 14A- Halfway Reflection

You will have to be able to push past the negative comments some people leave and have to get over your fears. I do not like speaking and even in the elevator pitch, I pushed past it and completed it. Also, when you find an idea you think could work, you have to change it up minority to what you first thought it would be. You'll have to be able to tweak your idea no matter whether you think it needs it or not. I have learned in this class to implement people's ideas about my idea and pick the ones I agree with and try to mutate my idea to better fit their ideas as well. After one of the assignments about the different consumers, I only really came up with two or there different customers and that for most products is not enough. My device being for medical needs though don't have that many different customers. 13A- Reading Reflection #1

The Wright Brothers by David McCullough A surprising fact i did not know about the Wright Brothers was that they had successfully grew a bicycle business while growing up and had been entrepreneurs from the start. In a time that bicycles were deemed unsafe, they opened their own bike shop and started small doing repairs and maintenance to a full time store at which they were making thousands of dollars a year in profit. The fact that I admire about the Wright Brothers the most was their ability to keep going after numerous failures. They went to Kitty Hawk numerous times and failed miserably and had to venture all the way back to Dayton to continue their work on their machine and to overwatch their bike store. A small fact that I least admire was that one of Wilbur's friend's grew up to be a serial killer. That caught my eye. 12A Figuring Out Buyer Behavior #1

Individuals under 35 with simple arm wrist or forearm fractures. To find my 3 interviewees, I went to the Tampa Orthopedic Institute and talked to three people that walked in with small casts on their arms. It is funny how fast people are willing to talk to you if you say your a college student conducting research. Anyway, my three people all said the same thing when it came to the time and place that the casts were needed, it was when they broken their limb in the first place and went to the doctor to seek medical attention. When asked what the first thing they do when the problem arises is to first seek their families then go as soon as possible to the doctor to get it checked out. This is normally the day of and if not the day after. They go to get an X-ray of the bone and seek what the doctor has to say. My name is Jack Raulerson and I am a business major at UF. I have a detailed experience in sales (real estate sales) and am very talented at marketing and organizing a customer database. Most of my work consists of organizing new potential clientele into certain marketing schemes and trying to find how to best reach them once they seek my services out. My aspirations are to grow a successful business that one day works for me instead of working for it. I want to run a business, not work in a business, there is a big difference. My business idea for a 3D printed permeable cast is just a invention I thought of. I aim to work at it hard enough with it that I will turn it into an everyday medical device. I aim to get a patent under the idea so I do not have competition just do the same thing as me and steal my idea. 9A- Testing the Hypothesis

A new cast design that can be washed and has slots for skin care. I actually had my cast taken off today and when I went there conducted my five interviews. Person 1- I first talked to a middle aged woman who had almost the same arm injury I did, a fractured radius. We both had on the same cast and had it on for the same amount of time, 3 months. I told her about my idea and asked her who she thought would not be able to use it and she told me about her surgery and before her hard cast, they ultimately just put you in a sling because of the danger of closing up permanently stitches. She also said the need differs from others and she came up with my idea could only be used on certain bones, like a forearm. Also yes, she said the outsider's need who cannot take advantage of my cast has different needs. Dr. Anderson - The second person I talked to was my doctor. 8A- Solving the Problem

My problem was right now I have to wear a cast because I broke my forearm. I stay a pretty active guy and the cast has began to smell really bad because I cannot wash it. Also, this is a replacement cast because whenI had the initial cast on, I had a skin infection under the cast because there was fiberglass rubbing against my bare skin and I could not treat it in any way. My solution to the problem would be for simple fractures like mine, there should be a permeable cast that can be washed and have slots available for me to put itching cream in if it gets itchy. Also, no cloth under so it can be washed without having to dry out. Imagine a typical arm cast, mine would do the same thing limiting and keeping the effected bone still so it could heal, but would have the benefits I just claimed. The cast could be 3D printed to exactly fit the individual's arm and then would have a couple fasteners to keep it locked together.
